Brooklyn Beckham "severs ties" with parents David and Victoria in explosive Instagram statement

Brooklyn Peltz Beckham broke his silence in a scathing, six page statement posted to his Instagram Stories, alleging that his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, have manipulated the press, sabotaged his wedding, and prioritized "Brand Beckham" over his wellbeing.

The 26 year old chef and photographer, who is the eldest son of the British power couple, declared he has "no desire to reconcile" with his family, marking a potential point of no return for one of the world's most famous families.

In the lengthy text posts, Brooklyn accused his parents of orchestrating a "facade" of family unity while privately undermining his marriage to actress Nicola Peltz Beckham.

"For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family," he wrote. "The performative social media posts, family events, and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into."

He went on to claim that family affection was transactional, stating, "Family 'love' is decided by how much you post on social media... even if it's at the expense of our professional obligations."

Perhaps the most damaging claims centered on his April 2022 wedding to Peltz. Brooklyn confirmed long standing rumors regarding the "dress drama," alleging that his mother, Victoria, cancelled making Nicola’s custom gown at the "eleventh hour," forcing the bride to scramble for a replacement.

However, he revealed new, more personal grievances regarding the ceremony itself. Brooklyn claimed that his mother "hijacked" the couple's first dance.

"Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife," Brooklyn wrote. "Instead, my mum was waiting to dance with me... She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life."

He also alleged that weeks before the wedding, his parents attempted to bribe him into signing away the commercial rights to his name, a move he says would have impacted his future children.

The post appears to be a direct response to recent tabloid stories that Brooklyn claims were planted by his parents' camp. "I have been silent for years," he stated. "Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself."

He concluded the statement by expressing relief at stepping away from the family dynamic, citing a disappearance of his lifelong anxiety. "My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press, or manipulation," he wrote.

Neither David nor Victoria Beckham has issued a public response. However, observers noted that Nicola Peltz Beckham posted a photo shortly before Brooklyn’s statement with a caption seemingly directed at her in laws, further solidifying the couple's united front.

This public denouncement follows reports from December that Brooklyn had blocked his parents and siblings on social media following a minor controversy over a cooking video.
